Event management is a field of project management that focuses on all aspects of an event, from venue selection to guest satisfaction monitoring. It is the result of a coordinating effort that differs in subject matter, alongside marketing, the origin of the initiative, funding, and many other aspects of on-site execution. As consumers, we understand all of these (IS), but at what point is it worth entrusting event management to a professional? What opportunities do the international and domestic markets offer, as well as the new challenges brought about by the pandemic? The presentation will highlight the background of the profession and provide insight into how we can progress from a job to a vocation in the field of event management.
