- Community and Local Partner Centre The building is not only a venue for classes, but also a base for projects, discussions and professional events shared with local industrial partners, companies and the municipal government.
🚌 Public transport in Veszprém
It is easy to find your way around Veszprém if you know what and where to look for. Here are the two simplest ways to get there:
1. V-Busz (Local bus transport)
- Line map and timetable: Look for the latest route map and live vehicle tracking on the on the official V-Busz website or the In the V-Busz app.
- Student discount: With a student ID card bearing a valid validation sticker (or a certificate of your educational identification number), you can purchase a monthly student season ticket at a significant discount in both the Mobile Ticket (Közlekedési Mobiljegy) and Simple applications. The price of the monthly bus pass is HUF 350.
2. V-Bike (Public bike-sharing scheme)
If you don't want to wait for a bus, the V-Bike With its electric bikes, you can cross the city in minutes!
- 💡 Fresher tip: With a Veszprém Card the six-month pass is only 500 HUF!
- How can you claim it? The discounted season ticket in person only you can request it at the V-Bike customer service. It is worth sorting out in the first week!
3. Lime (Electric scooters)
If you need to get quickly from one building to another or from the halls of residence into the city centre, you'll find Lime e-scooters everywhere in the city.
- Usage: Download the Lime app, link your bank card, and you can start your ride with the nearest scooter.
- Parking: Please note the designated parking zones (drop-off zones); you can only end your trip in these designated areas around the campus and in the city centre!
4. Taxi services in Veszprém
If you are heading home after a night out, or need to hurry to the railway station or bus station, Veszprém's taxi companies provide a quick solution.
- Main local companies:
- Tip: If several of you go together (e.g. classmates or hallmates), the cost is split, so you can get anywhere in the city for practically the price of a bus ticket!
5. Transport in Ajka, Nagykanizsa and Zalaegerszeg
- Local bus services operate in all three locations.
- With a valid student ID, discounted student passes can be purchased for local bus services.
- Taxi service is also available at all three locations.
🍕 Where shall we eat? – Lunch and Canteen Options
A good lunch or a quick coffee is vital during the break between the two performances.
🍽️ Restaurant discounts (Cheaper with a student card!)
- Hangvilla Restaurant (Veszprém): Quality daily menu and à la carte dishes in the heart of the city centre. Don't forget to show your student ID for the discount!
- Allegro Restaurant (Veszprém) A cosy place near the campus where, with a university student ID, you can get access at a discounted price to FitCampus menu!
- Daiquiri Café, Bistro (Veszprém): A community space with a brilliant atmosphere on the border of the campus and the city centre. A perfect choice for a daytime premium coffee, a toasted sandwich, or if you and your classmates want to pop in after classes for a refreshing drink and bistro bites.
- STAB!L Restaurant and Pub (Nagykanizsa): Students and staff can enjoy the restaurant’s daily set menu and the full menu at the 20% discount (upon presentation of a valid student card or staff ID card with a photograph), making high-quality meals even more accessible to them.
- More places nearby: In addition to the above, there are countless sit-down places, pizzerias, gyros shops, burger joints and canteens within a 5-10 minute walking distance of the campus and in the city centre.

- Magister Hall of Residence Buffet: The buffet at the bottom of the „Magi” is a perfect stop, whether you live in the hall of residence or want to pop in before or after lectures for a good coffee, sandwich or snack.
