Stork camp
Before the first semester begins, you can participate in one of the biggest parties! To achieve this, it's essential to forge friendships that span years, and the first significant step towards this can be the "Gólyatábor" (Freshers' Camp)! One swallow doesn't make a summer, but many freshmen do!
Veszprém University Days
1969 was not just the year of the moon landing for the students of Veszprém, as it was also the year the VEN was first held! The country's first university days series is held biennially and has become the most important hallmark of student life at Pannon University, with its months-long campaign, the competition between four teams organised by faculty, high-quality programmes, a parade that mobilises the entire city, and the Student Rector election that concludes the event.
Night owls
A traditional way to get to know your fellow students, students from other years, and your instructors better, within the framework of an event where frivolous fun takes centre stage after the formal elements of the occasion.
My husband
The first truly memorable big party of the new year in Nagykanizsa is the Kocamuri, whose trademark is a shot of pálinka drunk at dawn. On this day, we butcher a pig with a team of butchers recruited from the students, and prepare delicacies for the evening pork feast. During the day, playful tasks and competitions await everyone, and the evening concludes with a wild party!
Zalaegerszeg University Days
The biggest festival of Zalaegerszeg students is the ZEN, which takes place in the spring. Cultural programmes, sports and cooking competitions, concerts are awaiting the interested public and students of higher education institutions in Zalaegerszeg.
Swan Ball
The stork is a migratory bird, but as autumn arrives, it flies away to warmer climates. At Pannon University, this is naturally not the case; the decorated halls create a sufficiently hot atmosphere every year for the storks, and along with them, the senior students, to feel at home, take the Stork Oath, and be ready to party until morning – all dressed appropriately for a ball.
Balaton Regatta
The Balaton Regatta is the rowing competition of Pannon University, which we hold annually on Lake Balaton. In addition to the faculties' races, alumni, staff, employees, and open races are also featured. Meanwhile, we offer relaxation, entertainment, and sports programmes on the shore for participants.
Solar Boat Challenge
Since 2023, Pannon University has been organising an international solar boat competition, for which Balatonalmádi provides the venue. In this international engineering competition, which focuses on sustainability, each team competes with their own developed solar boats. Pannon University's own built boat also sets sail every year. If you love real challenges and want to be involved in genuine innovation, apply to Pannon University and join our student engineering team!
Student Union
The Student Self-Government of Pannon University (PEHÖK) is responsible for the university-level representation of the institution's students. Its aim is to represent the interests of students enrolled at and in a student legal relationship with the university in all matters affecting them within all university, as well as numerous regional and national bodies.
The PEHÖK is also responsible for assisting students with university-related matters, maintaining contact with university staff, liaising and cooperating with student organisations, and establishing and managing sports, cultural, and social organisational units. In addition to supporting faculty student governments, the PEHÖK also engages in programme organising activities.
The most direct level of student representation is provided by faculty student governments. Representatives of faculty governments participate in faculty-level decision-making forums, carry out extensive event organisation tasks, and also assist students with all matters relating to higher education.
