University life in Veszprém extends far beyond the classrooms and hall of residence corridors: the city buzzes all year round with concerts, festivals and vibrant nightlife.

The University of Veszprém first organised University Days (VEN) in 1969 with the aim of creating a tradition. At the heart of the event were playful competitions between student teams and the symbolic „takeover” of the university for a few days. From the very beginning, the goal was to bring the university community together and add colour to Veszprém's cultural life. Held in odd-numbered years, the six-day event has now grown into a university festival attracting more than 20,000 participants. További infók>>

The Freshers' Camp is held before the start of every academic year, at the end of the summer holidays. It is designed to help first-year students integrate into university life. Here, they can get to know their fellow students and upper-year students for the first time, and they also receive a lot of important information regarding the university. További infók>>

The Knocking Camp is a community event similar to a freshers' camp, built around a different theme every year, which marks the first day of moving into the hall of residence. During the camp, newly arrived residents can get to know each other and the residential community through playful activities, shared experiences and team-building tasks.

The Freshers„ Ball is held at the beginning of each academic year. In a formal ceremony, first-year students ”officially" become members of the university community. As the first moment of the evening, the opening dance sets the ball atmosphere. Following this, the student rector of the University of Pannonia welcomes the new university students. After that, the audience is entertained with various spectacular and atmospheric shows, and then dancing begins, lasting until dawn.

Faculty and departmental evenings are organised for participant numbers ranging from 100 up to 400 people. Some of them strictly adhere to holding traditional programmes and passing on traditions to new generations, while others welcome those interested in a more informal setting.

Tea houses, floor quizzes, various themed parties, three-letter events, and many more programmes await you. In connection with the start of the academic year, several faculties and training locations of the University of Pannonia are organising welcome days for freshers. The aim of the programmes is for newly admitted students to get to know their faculty, course, the most important information regarding university administration, services and the campus before teaching begins. Departmental briefings, community programmes, campus tours and various preparatory events also help students integrate into university life. The programmes and dates of individual faculties may vary, so it is worth keeping an eye on the faculties' social media pages and the information arriving via email.

Gólyahét was launched in 2024 with the aim of helping first-year students get to know Veszprém at the start of their university studies. During the series of events, students can discover the city's museums, cultural venues and community life. The programmes are complemented by various quizzes and competitions.

Located on the Veszprém campus of the University of Pannonia, Union is a key venue for university social and entertainment life. It regularly hosts various parties, concerts and other student events. Thanks to its on-campus location, it is an easily accessible venue for university programmes and evening recreation.

The largest spring community festival of the Zalaegerszeg campus of the University of Pannonia. By day, inspiring professional presentations, sports competitions, interactive games and communal cooking await the students. Supplemented by charity programmes, the daytime buzz is rounded off in the evenings by themed quizzes, beer pong and concerts, parties. The aim of the event series is genuine community building and the creation of an informal relationship between lecturers and students outside the classrooms as well.


One of the most important, tradition-creating community events of the University of Pannonia's Nagykanizsa Circular Economy University Centre. During the evening, through the taking of the oath, the first-year students officially become full members of the university community, while the graduating seniors are ceremoniously bid farewell. Accompanied by an elegant dinner and formal speeches, the event is made complete by dance performances and a party lasting until dawn, reinforcing a sense of togetherness and the university traditions of Nagykanizsa.

A long-standing, winter-farewell community event of the Circular Economy University Centre of the University of Pannonia in Nagykanizsa. At the pig slaughter gastronomic programme, students, lecturers and university staff jointly prepare and taste traditional dishes. The informal event is accompanied by cheerful competitions, playful challenges and musical entertainment, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen the Nagykanizsa campus community and relax together.
