In the colourful room of the Research Laboratory for Light and Colour Science, visitors can gain insight into the world of psychophysical experiments concerning colour science. In this immersive environment, the possibilities offered by LED lighting will be showcased. During the demonstration, additive colour mixing and colour-light optimisation will be presented using various monochromatic coloured and phosphorescent white LEDs, along with their effect on the appearance of the environment and consequently on human judgement. The biological effects of light on the human organism and how to influence them will also be discussed. We will show how those with sensory disorders related to colour vision perceive the world.
We recommend the performance for pupils in years 7-8 of primary school and for secondary school students.
